$400 Bonus Business Checking Bonus

U.S. Bank offers limited-time bonuses when you open a new business checking account with them.

Learn how to qualify for their business checking bonuses and help get your business off to a good start.

What Is a U.S. Bank Business Checking Bonus?

U.S. Bank typically offers business checking bonuses. It can be a tiered bonus where you can earn more with a larger deposit (though not always).

The requirements are usually quite reasonable, so it's a great option if you're in the market for a new business checking account.

As a business owner, you can use this bonus to boost your cash flow, offset banking fees, or even grow your business.

What would be your primary reason for utilizing a U.S. Bank Business Checking bonus?

U.S. Bank is one of the largest financial institutions in the US, with over 2,000+ branches in 26 states.[1] It offers personal and business banking, wealth management, mortgage, loans, and credit cards, serving millions of customers nationwide.

How to Open a U.S. Bank Business Checking Account

  1. Start your application using the links provided, so the promo code will be applied.

  2. Fill out the form by providing basic personal information (name, SSN or EIN, email and phone number, including those of co-owners with a minimum of 25% company ownership).

  3. Make an initial deposit of $100.

You may also be asked to upload documents for your business, so make sure to have them ready. This could include:

  • Articles of Organization (for LLCs)
  • Articles of Incorporation (for corporations)
  • Partnership Agreement (for partnerships)
  • DBA certificate

Fine Print

  • You must deposit new money. New money means your fund source should be outside U.S. Bank or its affiliates.

For example, you cannot fund your newly opened U.S. Bank Business Checking account by simply transferring money from a savings account you already have with U.S. Bank. Instead, here are ways you can introduce new money to your account:
    • Direct deposit
    • ACH or wire transfer from an external account
    • ATM/branch cash deposit
    • Mobile check deposit

  • Offer is not valid for existing U.S. Bank Business Checking account clients, or if you or any signer had a U.S. Bank Business Checking account in the last 24 months.

  • There is limit of one Business Checking bonus per business.

  • Offer may not be combined with any other business checking account bonus offers.

  • Your bonus is considered taxable income, and will be reported as interest earned on IRS Form 1099-INT.

Can I close the U.S. Bank account after earning my bonus?
Yes, you can close your U.S. Bank account after your bonus payout, provided you have kept it open for at least 60 days. Note, however, that account closures are recorded in your ChexSystems report and may impact your perceived banking behavior when opening bank accounts in the future.

Should I open a separate checking account for my business?
Yes, it is highly recommended to get a separate business checking to protect you and your business. It establishes a clear separation between your personal and business assets, which can be crucial if your business is sued or get into debt.
